We are celebrating the legendary 1942 film PRIDE
OF THE YANKEES rated the best baseball film of all time -
which starred Gary Cooper, Teresa Wright, and Babe Ruth as
himself. It's the Great American Story! Gary Cooper plays the
New York Yankee first baseman Lou Gehrig. The Crowd Worshipped
Him... One Woman Understood Him! The film is an intimate and
thrilling drama of a hero of the headlines... the girl who had
his love and shared his life, but dared not question his one

The presentation of "THE PRIDE OF THE YANKEES" is presented
        to commemorate the 10th
Anniversary of the Greater New York Chapter of Amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis (ALS) organization. ALS is a fatal
neurological disease, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease
-- named after the great New York Yankee first baseman that
        died of it in 1941.
